Guess Who’s Promoting Chris Record’s Internet Marketing College? Justin Verrengia and Vick Strizheus

Chris Record has announced his “Internet Marketing College” (IMC), the working name for a yet to be named training/school, that will cost a whopping $10,000. Classes will be held quarterly, and the $10K covers your tuition (but you will of course need money for travel and hotel expenses). The courses will be structured, with pre-tests and post-tests. The tuition is good for two people, and includes 120 hours of training (four weeks) with the “best of the best” teachers for each class (i.e. people actually making money and the specific skill being taught). I’ve been surprised by some of the big names involved. But I can see why. There is a matching bonus of $100,000 on making your first $100,000, and a matching $1,000,000 bonus on making your first $1,000,000. Justin Verrengia anticipates making $2.1 million on the launch of IMC. He is already a “million-dollar ring earner” in Empower Network, and his funnel links to Vick Strizheus’ page.  Vick probably make his own funnel for his team members.  Chris has included “pass-up” sales in his IMC compensation plan (not the same, but also not unlike that of Empower Network).         Vick said he did his due diligence, flew to Scottsdale, Arizona to meet with Chris Record. If you don’t know Vick, he made the most money of any person in the shortest time in Network Marketing (Chris was also a big earner in the same company, which was Empower Network).  He then went on to start his own business “High Traffic Academy” (HTA).  The best way to learn how about HTA is to take the free 14-day “Free 14-Day Project Breakthrough course“. This is a “pay to play” deal – you have to invest $10,000 (or probably sell one) to participate in the commissions. I decided to pass due to the high investment cost. I believe the school will be high quality; everything Chris Record does is “top drawer”. He has modeled the school and compensation after a real estate training “college” (with a $16,000 to $20,000 product), he sold about 10 years ago, and from which he was making multiple $10,000s each month (actually $500,000 his first year).  Eventually the real estate bubble burst, and Chris lost that income stream.  Chris is not a top affiliate and has created several of his own products, including Dark Profits (about FB advertising) and SmartMember (a web-site membership software/system). One of Justin’s smart moves is providing financing for anyone with a credit score of 600 or above.  (Not sure if he or Vick added this, or if Chris is providing access to it).  I used to work with defaulted student loans that were guaranteed by the government.  So I know there were loans for all kinds of schools, including beauty/cosmetic schools and even a luthiery (guitar repair school). Chris Record lives in Roseville, but is maintaining a new second office and home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He already has office, and staff in Arizona, setting up the IMC. The office has […]

David Wood (Empower Network) Reveals Past Company Issues

At the Generation Hero event, held in a mansion in Miami, top leaders of Empower Network gathered for the companies quarterly conference. Where as past conferences were always open to all members, a rep had to earn his or her way to this one by points earned from sales. However, the event was available via Livestream to all members. One purpose of this weekend is for those making the most money with the company to do an over-the-shoulder look at how they do what they do. Dave made some tweaks to the compensation plan, and shared the changes. Leads expect to see a major rush of new members, and David has said that the next quarterly even could easily have 5000 to 10,000 attendees, representing that Empower Network “is back.” Friday night included breaking boards and a Firewalk across burning hot embers. Earlier in the evening, when polling those present for ideas, someone said it seemed like there was a big elephant in the room that no one was talking about. Later that evening, David Wood, founder of Empower Network, revealed new information about that elephant. When David Sharpe left the company, the “cover story” was that he needed time to for medical treatment for Hepatitis C contracted from his earlier life of drugs (he used the fact that he came from that background in all his advertising, so no secret there). Wood said that Sharpe was given 40% interest in the company, and that he left because of company issues, and he was worried about his reputation. Sharpe apparently demanded a cash value settlement for his share of the company, at a time when the company was going through other issues, and the money was not readily available. Eventually, in about January 2015, a settlement was reached which included paying Sharpe a lower amount, in exchange for dropping other agreements such as a non-compete. At that time, Sharp seemed to become more publicly visible, offering coaching and training seminars. In January 2016, Sharp began promoting MLSP.  So David Sharpe is back in the public eye. Wood also stated that he broke up with Priscilla, the mother of his son five months ago.  She has custody, but he has some visiting rights. Top leaders like Lawrence Tam, Tracie Walker, and husband/wife team Justin and Dee Verringia, and Aron Rashkin, Mike Hobbs, and Paul Hutchings have stuck with Empower through thick and thin, while others like Tony Rush, John Lavenia, and Randy Schrum bailed last year to join up with Dubli.  Empower has always a very successful group in Portugal, and recently updated training materials to include Spanish, Portuguese, and German. David assured that all the issues are in the past, and that Empower Network has established new corporate values, including testing of all funnels.  As the funnels are tested, they will continue to improve to get maximized conversions for members.  The new compensation is in place and doing well.  The next quarterly event will be held in Nashville April 21-23. NOTE: This […]

As The Marketing World Turns – A Soap Opera Tale of Intrigue

Network Marketing can be very similar to a soap opera. Instead of whose marrying and divorcing who, it’s who is working with who, who left what business, and who is selling what now. Here’s a fairly impartial tale of recent events, from the November 5, 2014 public announcement of WUKAR until now, January 2016. A friend recently asked me if so-and-so was still in Company X, so I decided to chronicle some of the events. Sometime in 2014, Richard Cook and Matt Trainer were introduced to Dubli, a company that sells a cash-back program, where people get cash back when they buy from online websites that are in the network. While I believe Richard has a network marketing background, Matt Trainer said he always disliked MLM, and has returned to that stance today.  Matt always believed he could generate substantial of income just by promoting the Dubli product, without focusing on the MLM commissions and downline.  Matt’s has an amazing background, part of which includes Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The June 21, 2014 Dubli Dubai Event Dubli held it’s international corporate event in Dubai June 212,22 of 2014.  Based on the video below, it looks like 90 people went from the USA, representing themselves as Wukar. The November 5, 2014 Public Opening Wukar announced itself to the public on November 11, 201, which include “The Rotator” (explaind below) and eventually “The Millionaire’s Club” – a guarantee that Matt would not take any money out of his Dubli earnings until people that made certain commitments had each reached a million dollars in earnings after a given time period. Through traditional networking of who you know, word of mouth, and good selling, the Cooke/Trainer team brought in some big players. Tony Rush, a million dollar earner with Empower Network, left that company to join. Most likely, he brought John Lavenia with him. John had also spoken on stage at Empower Network nation wide events. Later we will also see Randy Schrum working with Tony and John, so he may have come over at that time as well. The other big names involved in the kick off were Jason Cardamone and Kristian Hoenicke… Most of these leaders made a quick decision to go Dubai for a major the above mentioned Dubli event; and they came back sharing the excitement. In two or three months, they did a huge recruiting effort, apparently building one of the biggest downlines in Dubli in a short time. The Rotator, SEO, and Video Making Extravaganza So back to Matt Trainer. His secret sauce promoted at the above announcement was a “Rotator” and a lead generation system powered by videos, local directories, and SEO techniques. He adopted the name Tem WUKAR, which stands for “Wake Up, Kick Ass, and Repeat.” The system involved hundreds, if not thousands of peoples generating short, one or two minute videos using a simple video creation tool called VideomakerFx. Training was created for people to follow, and keywords were provided by the Wukar web […]
